A Paula Deen Restaurant

Our first night in Savannah we decided to go into town and have dinner at Paula Deen’s restaurant The Lady and Sons. I was in the mood for some good ole’ southern comfort food.

We started off with some fried green tomatoes, I have always wanted to try them, now I’m not sure what they are suppose to task like but I found them pretty much flavorless. Maybe this is what they taste like but I was expecting some flavor. Mike ordered the Fried Shrimp basket and it came with potato wedges and coleslaw. He said it was really good except the coleslaw was very dry. I had the buffet. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t spectacular. It pretty much tasted like when I cook it. We both ordered peach cobbler to go. We ate it when we got home and it was still warm. It was OK but you could tell the peaches were from a can.

The food wasn’t horrible, I guess I was just expecting a little more out of a Paula Deen restaurant.
